What is Sculptra Aesthetic?

Sculptra Aesthetic gradually replaces lost collagen and provides structure to produce a more youthful appearance. Sculptra Santa barbara Aesthetic contains Poly-L-lactic acid or PLLA. It is bio-compatible, which means it will not harm your body. PLLA has been used for many years in dissolvable stitches and medical implants, and has been used cosmetically since 1999.

How does Sculptra Aesthetic work?

Sculptra Aesthetic is injected within the deep dermal skin layers. Sculptra Aesthetic provides a gradual increase in skin thickness. Visible results appear within the first few treatment sessions.

What do I expect during my Sculptra Aesthetic treatment?

Multiple treatments may be needed for best results. Dr. Zormeier will evaluate your results at each treatment session to determine the number of sessions for best results. At your first treatment, it may appear that Scuptra Aesthetic gives immediate results; however, there is immediate swelling from the water used to dilute the Sculptra Aesthetic. After a few days, the swelling decreases, and you may not look much different than before your first treatment. Sculptra Aesthetic works gradually and stimulates collagen increasing facial volume. One month after your first treatment, patients return for a follow up visit and Sculptra Aesthetic is usually repeated. Patients with significant volume loss may require three to four treatment sessions.

How long does Sculptra Aesthetic last?

Scuptra Aesthetic results vary with each individual. In clinical studies, the treatment results of Sculptra Aesthetic lasted up to two years.

Is there pain involved with my Sculptra Aesthetic treatments?

Sculptra Aesthetic is injected using a very fine needle to minimize swelling, bruising and discomfort. Sculptra Aesthetic is combined with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to numb the area and minimize pain and discomfort.

What are the side effects of Sculptra Aesthetic?

Side effects of Sculptra Aesthetic may include injection site discomfort, redness, bruising, bleeding, itching, and swelling. Other side effects may include lumps under the skin that are sometimes noticeable when pressing the treated area. Larger lumps, some with delayed onset with or without inflammation or skin discoloration, have also been reported. In a key clinical study, the number of small and large lumps were low and most resolved without treatment.

I have had Botox, fillers, and IPL laser. I’m 38 and was noticing that I often look tired, with under eye bags, a bit of smile lines, and slightly droopy eye brows. I noticed right away that the Botox did great with lifting up my brows. The fillers gave me some cheeks and disguised the under eye bags.. my laugh lines are much less noticeable. I still have 2 more sessions of the IPL laser but so far I’ve noticed much less redness and discoloration and look forward to the final result. I did feel like Dr. Zormier cared about making sure I was comfortable. I noticed that some of the reviews mentioned that she wasn’t sensitive to pain- that was not my experience at all. If I had any criticisms- I feel like there might be a bit more fillers than I would have liked in my cheeks.. this was my first experience getting work done so perhaps I didn’t communicate with DR. zormier as thoroughly as I should have. I didn’t know what to communicate so I pretty much let her do what she thought was best. Next time I have fillers, I will ask for about 25% less than what was injected. Also, for the fillers , Botox , and IPL laser, I spent $6000 . Very expensive . I’m hopeful that maintaining is much less than this .
