Increasing skin laxity is often one of the first signs of visible aging, but while some experience skin laxity on the face, others experience skin laxity on the neck. The main problem with skin laxity on the neck and lower jaw region is the fact that treating these areas can sometimes be challenging. However, you don’t have to resort to surgery to address these concerns. At Zormeier Cosmetic Surgery & Longevity Centers in Noblesville, IN we know the key to revitalizing your appearance is with Ellevate, a new type of reconstructive treatment.

What Is Ellevate?

Ellevate is a minimally-invasive, non-surgical treatment that is used to extend the length of the neck and restructure the contours of the lower jaw. This treatment is your simplest, single-use option when you are searching for a way to elevate your youthful appearance without the extended recovery times associated with cosmetic surgeries. When it’s time to reduce your skin laxity and revitalize your overall appearance, Ellevate is the way to go.

How Does Treatment Work?

This treatment works by approaching a traditional neck lift with a non-surgical mindset. In other words, this minimally-invasive treatment is done on an outpatient basis and can be completed in under two hours for most patients. With a single-use kit, a skilled surgeon is able to insert sutures beneath the surface of your skin, usually near the jawline, to lift lax skin into a higher, more youthful, better-contoured position.

Is This Treatment Safe?

Yes. This treatment has minimal side effects and is considered safe for any patient who can use anesthesia.

Is There a Best Time for Treatment?

Yes and no. While this treatment can be performed during any time of the year, it’s best to schedule your treatment several months in advance of any special occasions you wish to attend to allow for a full recovery and the requisite follow-up appointments.

What Can You Expect Before, During, and After Treatment?

As with any other treatment, there are a few steps you can expect when you visit our clinic, such as:

Consultation

Your first step will be a consultation during which we will gather certain information about you, including your general medical history, drug allergies you may have, and any previous cosmetic treatments or surgeries you have had in the past. We will examine the proposed treatment area and discuss your expectations for treatment. We may also request to take photographs for your medical file to use as a reference for treatment.

Treatment

Your treatment will require the use of anesthesia, which means you will need to arrange for transportation after your appointment is finished. Special sutures will be placed beneath your skin to lift lax skin into a higher, tighter position. We pay particular attention to the area around your jaw to ensure your chin and jawline are contoured correctly.

Recovery

Your recovery time will take about two weeks, during which you will be asked to wear a cervical collar or neck brace to limit the movements of your neck. We ask that you avoid excessive movement or strenuous activities during this time and that you follow our directions for how to care for your treatment site. You will be asked to attend a follow-up appointment after two weeks to assess how well you are healing and responding to treatment.

What Are Results Like?

The results of this treatment are a more youthful appearance to the lower face and neck area. Your skin will be tighter and lifted, and your jawline will be more defined. Your neck will appear longer and your jawline will appear thinner.

How Long Do Results Last?

This treatment lasts as long as a traditional neck lift, meaning it is directly competitive with its surgical counterpart. In general, most patients can expect to enjoy the results of treatment for up to five years at a time, making it one of the longest-lasting non-surgical neck treatments currently available.

Will You Need Repeat Treatments?

If you wish to continue enjoying the results of this treatment then you may want to have a repeat treatment after five years. We can help you determine if you need this treatment sooner.

Can You Combine This Treatment?

This treatment is commonly combined with other cosmetic treatments for the neck, face, and body, such as non-surgical liposuction, dermal fillers, injections, and radiofrequency treatments for skin tightening and skin resurfacing. If you are interested in combining this treatment with other cosmetic treatments, please let us know so we can discuss the best way to reach all of your aesthetic goals.

Who Are Good Candidates for Treatment?

This treatment is ideal for patients aged 30 to 50, who are just beginning to show signs of visible aging or who do not want to have an invasive surgical procedure. As long as you are healthy enough to tolerate anesthesia, then you are eligible for this treatment. You may be a good candidate for this treatment if you would like to:

  • Restructure the neck and lower face
  • Contour the jaw
  • Lift and tighten lax skin
  • Enjoy long-lasting results
