RADIESSE Dermal filler
Instant volume for cheeks, chin, and pre- jowl areas.
Facial volume loss occurs as we age. RADIESSE works by immediately restoring lost facial volume, smoothing out wrinkles and folds with natural looking results that can last up to a year or more in many patients.
What makes RADIESSE different?
RADIESSE Filler is a smooth gel filled tiny microspheres – made of calcium-based material. When injected, RADIESSE adds immediate volume and correction while the microspheres act as a scaffold, stimulating your own body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, the gel and microspheres are absorbed into your body, while your own collagen remains.
What makes RADIESSE last so long?
RADIESSE is made of calcium hydroxylapatite suspended in a gel. Because calcium hydroxylapatite is a normal component of bone, it does not elicit an inflammatory or immune response. RADIESSE provides long lasting correction.
What areas are best treated with RADIESSE?
RADIESSE is an ideal option for adding lift and volume to:
*Nasolabial folds (laugh lines)
*Marionette lines
*Chin and cheek augmentation
*Down turned corners of the mouth
*Pre-jowl folds
*Back of hands to obscure vein and bones
What are RADIESSE treatments like?
Dr. Zormeier will begin by carefully evaluating your facial anatomy and signs of aging. She will compose a custom treatment plan designed to obtain the best results, while maintaining a natural appearance.
RADIESSE is injected similar to other fillers but can be injected more deeply for structural support. Injection pain and bruising is minimized by using ultra fine needles and microcannulas. Results are immediate after injection.
How long does RADIESSE last?
Not only does RADIESSE provide immediate correction, the natural smooth appearance often lasts a year or more.
Is treatment with RADIESSE uncomfortable?
RADIESSE is mixed with lidocaine, which is a local anesthetic. Lidocaine is designed to reduce pain and maximize comfort during your procedure.
How long is the recovery time after RADIESSE?
There is very little downtime involved with a RADIESSE procedure. Patients can resume normal activities immediately after injection.
What are the side effects of RADIESSE?
The most common side effects of RADIESSE are swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, and pain. These side effects are temporary and will resolve with time. The microspheres in RADIESSE can be seen in X-rays.
Can RADIESSE be used in conjunction with other fillers?
Depending on the amount of facial volume loss and the amount of correction needed, RADIESSE will often be used in combination with Restylane Silk, Restylane or Juvederm products. There is no restriction to using additional fillers. RADIESSE cannot be used for lip augmentation to prevent the possibility of nodule formation.
